"Welcome to a world without passengers"

“WELCOME TO A WORLD WITHOUT PASSENGERS” – screams the top of the chairman’s message.

Mr.Mallaya I used love the King Fisher brand (until now) I really did which is why I continued to use it despite a series of unfortunate incidents over the last few years. This latest incident has prompted me to start this blog site!

I couldn’t agree less with the content of what screams on the top of your message but with a difference, the above statement must be rewritten as :

“WELCOME TO A WORLD WITHOUT PASSENGERS ON BOARD King Fisher Airlines”

This is exactly what is going to happen if King Fisher airline continues to ill treat its passengers!

Following is a gist of what treatment I have been given, oh just to let you know this incident is what prompted me to open this blog, so be rest assured this isn't a stand alone incident.

I flew Trivandrum to Delhi Via Chennai, PNR : DCODQD it was an airbus, my seat number was 1C, I requested the inflight staff to take my coat and put in a hanger which is found inside the airplane, she refused to take my coat saying “In KF RED service we do not take coats”, as if that wasn’t  enough there was more to follow, being a privileged passenger I was upgraded on the Chennai-Delhi sector the seat assigned to me was 1C (on a lighter note seems like the seat is jinxed ?) these are a string of events which occurred since then :

·        As we prepare to take off, one of the inflight staff hands me the menu card
·        Starts to take dinner order, the gentleman sitting besides me gives his order
·        The staff then walks away saying she will be back, her colleague turns up
·        Starts taking order from others starting from seat 1D
·        My dinner order wasn't taken
·        The inflight staff then starts to serve dinner to all the passengers
·        I was asked right after all the passengers were served
·        Filled in an inflight complaint form and handed over the same to the staff
·        On questioning why I was not even asked for my dinner order, I was told I was asleep which is a lie, I was wide awake and also told the inflight staff of all that was happening around me
·        Then came out the surprising answer – as per the rules they are instructed to first take order and serve passengers who pay for the business class seats and only then the other (upgraded) passengers are served
·        Moreover my name was not on the list of passengers, I have physically checked the inflight passenger details, this is serious and I can take this up legally 
·        As if that wasn't enough my checked in baggage came in a complete broken condition

Am appalled with the kind of treatment given to me, fyi am a plat card holder.  Don’t know if it makes sense to patronize an airline and then wait to get ill treated!
After this incident, met two of the red (danger) dressed clad managers (DEL Airport staff) they heard me out, they promised to revert the next day but that didn’t happen (and let me tell you I wasn’t surprised!!!)
All that I want to know is:
·        Whatever happened to your service standards, why is it so appalling
·        Didn’t the chairman scream out loud saying “Welcome aboard Kingfisher Airlines, where you are made to feel like an honoured guest and not just a passenger”
·        Does KF actually deserve all the awards they claim they have won?
·        Kindly note I have a group of unsatisfied passengers in my very own office who also claim similar humiliating experiences

I had also written to Mr.Mallaya (who apparently at that time was busy shelling out his crores on buying out IPL players) so am mighty sure he doesn’t get to read these mails,

To me this is yet another Indian organization which promised services on par with international standards but sadly ended up failing to live up to its basic promises:

"At Kingfisher, a flight is not a journey between two airports but an experience of a lifetime"

Yes indeed a very humiliating experience Mr.Chairman!!! As mentioned earlier just paying skimpily clad models to adorn a semi-porn calendar does not make you global, you must first learn to take care of the countless loopholes and ***holes in your company!

How I wish I could turn back the clock and relive my wonderful experiences with King Fisher…or is it just wishful thinking?
